Feedback from Attendees of The Coaching Circle CPD day - Nov 30th 2009:

'Excellent. Great presenter. As usual, really practical, useful stuff at a high level. Encouraging, motivating, energizing. Many thanks.'

'Opened up a new area for me. I found it fascinating and interesting and it was carried out professionally. I drove 3 hours to be here and it was well worth it. The information was delivered in a way that I could understand in what is a complex area. Thank you.'

'Great brain exercise. Good to be intellectually challenged. The pace was fast and furious but packed full of ideas and content, balanced with time to share and think with others. Much to reflect on and much to put into practice. Just need a bit more time to really absorb everything. Thank you.'

'An extremely informative day. It made me think, stretched and interested me! Gave me ideas to put into practice.  '

'As ever an excellent day. Subject matter so relevant to my development both personally and as a coach / mentor. Thank you.'

'Fantastic day. Very interesting subject and has given me lots and lot’s to think about. Very genuine and honest presenter. Good presentational style. Wished that we could have had some handout notes to scribble up front (only minor gripe!) Could have listened for at least another couple of hours, which is always a good sign.'

'An excellent presentation, full of new information and re visiting past techniques, given in an interesting, challenging and lively fashion.'

'Thank you James. Fantastic day that has helped focus my thoughts.'

What was covered?
Many of our clients, particularly executive coaching clients, hire a coach to help them improve their interpersonal or leadership effectiveness.  So we need to understand the inner and outer causes of poor interpersonal relations and leadership presence.  And, of course, we need to know what we as coaches can do to help.

• Difficult interpersonal behaviours – what they look like in action.
• Emotional intelligence and the three basic ways of achieving interpersonal change.
• Keys to change #1: new or improved skills and practices.
• Keys to change #2: understanding the psyche and the subtle causes of interpersonal difficulties.
• Keys to change #3: a model of effective interpersonal relations
• Keys to change #4: helping you and the client work on your inner state.
